I want to provide an update regarding the ongoing issue with the hot tub here at the Mankato Family YMCA.  

We were informed by staff that there was a potential leak in the hot tub, and we were losing some water. Our Maintenance Team started to search for the leak while the pool was closed each day from 1pm-3:30pm. During this time, we noticed that it was too large of a project for our team to handle, so we reached out to local plumbers for assistance. 

The repairs are a bit more extensive than we initially thought and will result in the hot tub remaining closed this weekend and into next week. The plumbers will come in on Monday and Tuesday to repair the issue that was found.  

Because of the work that is needed, we are going to close the entire pool area (Lap Pool, Taylor Pool and on-deck sauna) starting Monday, July 27th at 8am, with an anticipated opening of Wednesday, July 29th  at 5am. We will have the team working diligently and we will keep you updated on the progress of the repair.
