Dear Members and Staff:
The following information is being provided to you as we prepare for another Minnesota winter.
The decision to alter our operating hours due to weather is never made lightly and includes a number of variables, but the center of our decision-making is always the safety of members and staff. Thank you in advance for your understanding and cooperation.
The Mankato Family YMCA closures (entirely or partially) will be provided on the following websites, radio and television stations:
- www.mankatoymca.org (under the News section)
- KTOE, Radio Mankato
- KEYC.com
- KEYC Channel 12
- Our Social Media Pages
- Members: Opt in for email and text messaging in your Daxko account
Other Important Information:
- Any program closings will be sent to those signed up (Remind, email etc.).
- If school is closed due to inclement weather, our programs and after school events will also be closed (STRIDE, Marlins, ASA, etc.) Half days/early outs due to inclement weather, the same applies.
- Families should have a plan in the event the weather conditions deteriorate in a short notice.
- Members and staff should be appropriately dressed for the weather as emergencies may result in dangerous situations.
- Members/guests under the age of 15 will be required to be picked up before we close. This notification can be short, and parents need to make the proper arrangements.
Safety is the top priority for all of us, and the Mankato Family YMCA appreciates your support as we work together to navigate our winter months.
Sincerely,
Andrew Burk
Executive Director
Mankato Family YMCA
