Jump into Fun for a Good Cause!

Join us on Saturday, February 8, at Westwood Marina, for a thrilling community event to support the programs and services of the Mankato Family YMCA. Whether you’re diving in, supporting from the sidelines, or helping make the event a success, there’s a way for everyone to get involved!

Ways to Get Involved

1. Register a Team & Take the Plunge

Gather your friends, family, or co-workers and make a splash together! Teams are asked to raise $500 by February 8th and celebrate the accomplishment by jumping into Lake Washington at Westwood Marina

2. Sponsor the Event

Support the Penguin Plunge as an event sponsor and gain visibility for your business while making a difference in our community. With your help, we can provide equal access to the resources and tools everyone needs to succeed at the Y. Will you help us keep our programs running?

3. Donate to a Team

*Online donations are accepted starting January 1st, 2025
Can’t plunge? No problem! Support your favorite team or participate with a donation! Teams are competing against each other to see who can raise the most, so make sure your favorite is staying in the lead!

4. Donate an Item to the Silent Auction

Help make our silent auction a success by contributing unique items or experiences. We’re looking for anything from gift baskets, to event tickets, to new and creative experiences. The funds raised from the Silent Auction go directly towards our Penguin Plunge goal.

5. Volunteer at the Event

Not into the cold water? Help us behind the scenes! There’s always plenty to do to help us get ready for the event! From set-up, to check-in, to silent auction monitor and more. Fill out the volunteer interest form below and find the perfect role for you!

6. Attend and Cheer On Plungers

And don’t forget!! Come out to Westwood Marina and join the fun! Feel the excitement, support the plungers, explore the silent auction, enjoy a delicious hot lunch (all proceeds go to the Y) and be entertained by some great music!
