Child Watch is a bright, playful world where kids can explore, imagine, and have fun—while parents enjoy their time at the Y with peace of mind!

Designed for children ages 6 months to 10 years, Child Watch offers a safe, supervised, and engaging space filled with hands-on activities and endless opportunities for play. From dramatic play corners and building zones to active games and brain-boosting puzzles, every child can find something to spark their curiosity and creativity.

Our room is brought to life with seasonal decorations and an ever-changing sensory bin, so each visit feels like a brand-new adventure. Laughter, movement, and discovery are always part of the experience!

Child Watch Rules

  • Children are allowed to be in Child Watch for up to 90 minutes at no charge. They can stay an extra 30 minutes for an additional charge (using a Child Watch punch card).
  • A $1.00 per child fee will be charged per 15-minute increments beyond the first 90 minutes.
  • Child Watch punch cards can be purchased at the YMCA front desk. Punch card packages can be purchased for $10.
  • Safety of all participants is our top priority.
  • All children must have a current Information/Emergency Contact form on file.
  • Children should use the bathroom prior to entering the Child Watch room.
  • Staff are not permitted to change diapers. In the case of an accident, parent/guardians will be contacted and are expected to change the diaper immediately. Parent/Guardians are expected to use our bathroom facilities to change diapers.
  • No outside toys, food or beverages are allowed in Child Watch.
  • YMCA Staff use redirection, positive reinforcement and problem-solving techniques to assist in learning moments.
  • YMCA Staff document any and all unsafe, unacceptable or suspicious behavior of children within Child Watch.
  • All YMCA Child Watch Staff are required by law to report any suspected abuse or neglect to a YMCA supervisor.
