Dear Mankato Community:

The following update is in reference to the press conference held by Governor Walz on Friday, March 20, 2020 and his announcement regarding YMCA child care:

Currently, we are not offering School Age Child Care (SACC) at the Mankato Family YMCA.

At the present time, we are offering child care to preschoolers already enrolled in our all-day program.

Also, we are connecting with Minnesota DHS (Department of Human Services) to determine if our current preschool license may be expanded to accommodate SACC.

Additionally, we are closely monitoring to see if demand exists for increased child care in our community. At present time, school programs are not full.
