Marlins & Mini Marlins

The Marlins Team uses a “progressive” age group program designed to develop a child physically, mentally and emotionally in a systematic fashion.

A well-defined, long-term approach of gradually increasing degrees of commitment is essential to reach peak performance levels during a swimmer’s physiological prime. The emphasis in the early stages of participation is placed on developing technical skills and a love for the sport.

The swim team season begins in October and continues until early April. Practices are held weekly with meets throughout the season. Practices and meets are option, however, it is strongly encouraged that swimmers attend as many practices and meets as they can. Practices are held in the afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday. Meets are held on the weekends, with most occurring on Saturdays and a few of the larger meets on Sundays.
